Gardening in West Bergholt
For the green-fingered amongst us there are two associations that might be of
interest.
Large garden, small window box, devoted gardener or just a passing interest?
Why not join your local gardening club?
We offer something for every taste with our diverse yearly programme.
Meetings are held at 7.30pm in the Orpen Hall on the third Mondays of February
to May, and from September to November, plus the second Monday in December.
Speakers’ topics are varied on gardening related issues such as:
- The search for Ratty;
- The secret lives of garden birds;
- Fungi, edible & otherwise;
- Do your own Christmas arrangements;
- Garden & planting design;
-
Wildlife in the garden;
- Thirty-five years in a garden of roses;
The April meeting
takes the form of an Annual Plant Sale, open to the public. During the
months of June and July visits to local and national gardens of interest take
place. There is always a warm friendly welcome for members and visitors.
Joining us is simple and inexpensive. For further information, please
contact the Chair, Valerie Lofthouse or Secretary, Gordon Dean. We look
forward to seeing you.
