Road Closures

Essex County Council have issued a notice affecting West Bergholt under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(2) that will have the following effect:

Chitts Hill will be closed for a distance of 20 metres either side of the level crossing from 01.45 hours on 26 May 2008 to 04.00 hours on 27 May 2008 to enable maintenance work to the railway to be undertaken. 

Please note cyclists, pedestrians & pushchairs will still be able to pass through the closure. 

An alternative route is available for other traffic via Halstead Road, Spring Lane and Argents Lane and vice versa.
