Bergholt
Heath Youth Football Club.
Bergholt Heath YFC was formed in 1999 to provide an opportunity for the youth
of West Bergholt to play football in the Colchester & District Youth League.
The Club currently runs 4 teams - one each in the Under-11, -12, -13 and -16 age
groups. Most of the players are from the village but players from outside
Bergholt are also accepted. The club welcomes girl players in the Under-11
age group where league rules permit mixed teams.
The teams train on Saturday mornings at Poors Field in the village, this is
also where the 3 younger teams play their home matches on a Sunday. The
Under-16 team home games are played at the home of West Bergholt FC in the Lorkin Daniell
sports field.
The club is proud to be sponsored by
Boydens Estate Agents, who have long
had an association with the club and the village, and also Fillpots Nurseries
and Garden Centres of Boxted.
