Bergholt Care Network
If you need a helping hand with transport to a medical appointment or any
other local visit, remember the Village Care Network may be able to help.
The Care Network is a voluntary organization offering help which is not
covered by existing agencies. New volunteer drivers are always needed to
cope with the increasing demand for our services. Last year over 250 jobs
were undertaken by about 20 volunteers. Any expenses incurred, such as
fuel costs or parking fees, will be reimbursed. Unlike many other
organizations there is no need to make a regular commitment, just a willingness
to help out now and again when circumstances allow. It may only be a few
times a year.
We also need a telephone contact whose role is a very important part of Care
Network. The telephone contact arranges for a volunteer to provide the
services requested by our clients. The Care Network is funded almost
entirely by the donations it receives from people it helps.
